I've had one Kite surf lesson in Hawaii. I see a lot of advertising, what do those with experience recommend for a first kite? And Board?
Thanks in advance!

Bob,
I normally recommend people to get their first set of equipment as similar to the ones they learned at school (same type, same brand as possible) as that would reduce the frustration of having to relearn new gear.

It seems that a larger board and a medium kite are your best bet. The large board to get you on plane in less wind and the medium kite for a lower wind range. I like LiteWaves biggest board for beginners. Plus it is very rugged. Beyond that, I would do as previously recommended and try to get something close to what you had in school. If at all possible, start with a 4 line...it is much safer and the extra lines are worth the hassle.
