Just think I got the OK for a few days in the gorge. I can camp out of my mini-van in a pinch, or grab the first motel I see. But I think I saw here recently that there was some resort in Stevenson that had cabins, or rooms of some sort, on the water?? Can anyone confirm this and give me specifics. Any other tips or recommendations would be welcomed as well, for anywhere in the gorge. Just solo this, my second, time.
Thanks,

Camping it the BEST way if you have a van or tent. I like Tucker Park myself....away from the railroads. Not only is it cheap, but camping in Oregon in the summer is better than any stuffy cabin or room.

I agree with Tucker Park. The Bingen School in is another option (hostel). Great place to stay, but it is near the tracks (sorta), and gets hot during the hot spells. Its a good place to be solo as other sailors are often around, or you may be the only one there. Its hit or miss. Jay
