hatteras - april - weeds?

I'm going to Hatteras in april. Is this the weedy season? If so, should I buy weed fins ahead of time or just shop there?

yeah, its not the harvest season, so its BYOW in the spring....haha no seriously, it all depends on the weather patterns and the tides , b/c ive been down there in April and its been clear of weeds and in other years, the sound is filled with weeds not to worry, you can RENT a weed fin. I rented a weed fin from Three different stores down there for $10-20 for a week. I personally dislike all the weed fins Ive tried and try to use a wave fin as long as I can stand.
