Hi, I just started kiteboarding two weeks ago an Fuerteventura. Now I'm infected with this virus. Went to our local dealer to buy a kite. They recommendend a Cabrinha CO2 Dart 11.5/AR4 for me ( 76kg no surf, but wakeboard experience). Isn't that size a little bit overpowered? In my personal feelings 8.5/AR 3.8 should be enough. Any comments welcome, thanks walter

Hi Walter

First of all Cabrinha is a new brand. They didn't have as much experience as Naish or Wipika. Chose first a 2 line kite. Buy an used 7.0 R3 Naish and a 11.0 R3 instead of Cabrinha 11.5/AR4. It is a big kite use between 4 to 12 knots.

Bye. Christophe

It all depends on your weight, local wind, board size, skill and so on. The question is do you trust the judgement of your local dealer? I'd certainly give it more consideration than somebody who claims to kitesurf and have fun in 4 knots of wind.
