I'm heading down to Miami for a few weeks. Any idea where? And what size kites? I weigh about 200 lbs.

Check out Virginia Key Park on Key Biscayne. Unfortunately, I heard that the other excellent kite launch further down the beach, Crandon Park, has been closed to kite surfing. Just north of Miami (20 minutes drive) in Dania/Hollywood., check out Meade St. This is by far the busiest launch near/outside Miami. And bring your bigest kites this time of year!

Last autumn I went to Miami, there is a spot near nikki's beach in Miami beach.Spot is before Ocean Drive (South-North direction). The spot is goog for surfer too. Good wind but a lot of waves....no good for beginners...
