Hi

i recently started kitesurfing and Ive notices that the inflated spars are becoming mildewed ( probably from putting it away wet) I live in an apt so drying it out in a garage or backyard isnt an option.

does anyone know of a way to remove these little mildew dots without harming the material( i think bleach probably would be a bad idea) also how can i get the remaining moisture out so a s it doesnt get worse

hopefully i do not need to remove the bladders ( I dont think that would be a great idea either.)

any help/suggestions appreciated

Rod,

we should get together and fly sometime. I live in southern orange county and have been flying out of sano and dana pt. Any way, to try and answer your questions about the mildew, I think bleach might be the only answer, but I'll ask my rep. on that one. It might damage the fabric like it does to every thing else. I was told that salt water won't mildew, are you flying in fresh water? Regardless, it's most important to get the sail dry before storing it. Take the extra time at the beach to get it dry. Hang it out or do what you gotta do.
