Ahhhh, Waterloo, where I first learned windsurfing in the early 80s before moving to Australia. From Laurel Creek and goose sh*t to the Pacific Ocean...

Anyhow, re. Montreal, check the local ass'n. Best for day-to-day is West Island, where you can catch pretty much all winds between two locations: Cartier and l'Anse-à-l'Orme. Both are quite civilised, within 10-15 minutes from any suburb around there: Pierrefonds, Kirkland, St-Anne and all that. Makes sailing easy at night.

Then you can easily venture out of the island for weekends, such as Chambly, Deux- Montagnes and Lac Champlain. Also sure values: Orleans in Quebec City, Lac Brome and Kingston, Ont.

See ya soon, Pierre C. MMath U.Waterloo 1982
