By now I'm seeing racing fleets in my sleep but I'll try to get the final standings out to you by tomorrow. Nothing changed in the Mens formula class and Kevin Pritcahrd took the top spot, Micah Buzainis 2nd and Phil McGain 3rd. Mario Perez (Tampico, Mexico) took the Techno top spot and Bruce Peterson got the top slot for the Masters Formula fleet. In the sports fleet Oscar Izaguirre (Tampico Mx) got the first with 2nd going to Eric Spottke (a recdotter) and Peter Hartwich getting 3rd. The Prodigy Fleet was taken by Sean Hawes with Al Simmons 2nd and Pepi Gerald hung on for 3rd. Pepi should get a raise from Mistral- the fleet he chartered the boards to was really close all week with smiles and high 5's all around at the end of every race. That kind of fun in racing is something I hadn't seen often since the hay days of the old Windsurfer Fleets in the early 80's- and Pepi's enthusiasm had a lot to do with it I think. Then again the members of that fleet also had a role and between Sean Hawes, both Al and Susan Simmons, Bruce Matlack plus others, the competition was made better by the fun had by all. At the awards ceremony tonight, a bombshell of sorts was dropped on crowd- next year EM Marketing will not be running the show. Gary and Elaine Motl's marketing company has handled the Open for the last 10 years of the event's 15 year history. They wouldn't tell us who, but another marketing outfit will be handling it next year and they apparently have a deep pocketed sponsor lined up. I'd also like to give credit to Jaime Torres for getting the daily results tabulated days ahead of previous years- thanky Jaime! The Official listing will be posted on the CCWA's website as soon as I get them (probably by tomorrow night with full fleet standings. One mystery for me this year was where was Seth Besse? I know an earlier response to the first day's results wanted coverage on the Cape Cod contingent and they were betting on Seth.... but he was not there. I think the post was from Anne which reminds me: down h'yar Anne, CCWA means the Corpus Christi Windsurfing Association- not that Yankee (Cape Cod) bunch!

LOL...Ok, we can share the initials..I thought Marc Lefebvre told me he was taking Seth's gear down with he and his gf on their trek to TX. Apparently Seth decided not to go..anyway, it looked like a fun event..
Now I am off to check the weather models..am having anxiety about the weather forecast for June 7th weekend..some weather geeks are helping me on this..

Could it have anything to do with high school final exams?
