RE/
Paint? You mean I was supposed to put paint on it after the fix?

Uh, let me take a wild guess:
For the Acid, maybe SILVER...and for the Formula, maybe WHITE.

Can't you give a brand, name, color number or something? If not, this BS talk is just annoying. All I was asking for, is some practical advice. Thanks to others who may be willing to help! windnwaves.

I recommned using an epoxy based gloss spray paint. White is easy to get of course. Krylon is one brand, but ACE hardware has a generic they works fine. You should have no problem finding them a local hardware store.
The epoxy paints seem to bond really well to sailboards. Use gloss , even if the non-repaired area does not look gloss. The matt is not quite the same white ( a bit gray).

I have repaired my Formula 155 Wood and spray painted (can) with white from Walmart. The paint is ColorWorks white (made by Krylon), in Satin finish. I wet sand with 600 after painting. It is a pretty close match for the white (white is a hard color to match). I also have repainted the silver trim on the same board, don't know if it is the same color you are looking for, but I had a good match with Dupli Color Steel Finish Wheel Paint- from Discount Auto Parts. Hope this helps. Cindy

The Starboard website,http://www.star-board.com/repair.asp. will tell you what color to use for each board. They use the Pantone color system. Once you determine what Pantone color you need you can get a color sample at any art supply store. Take the color sample and have the paint matched at your local paint store. I had some automotive paint mixed to match the color indicated on the website and it was a perfect match.

A bit late here, but get on the ask starboard forum and, well, ask starboard. They should give you good color matches which sounds like the info you seek. Anyway, automotive spray paint followed by a clear coat in some cases is what you'll probably use.
