Is there anyone on this NG, that has experiences with both Paragliders AND Kitesurf equipment?

I come from the paragliding world - I'm not especially experienced. But one thing I learned was how difficult it was to control a paraglider on the ground.

Does having rigging that is made for 'horizontal flight' make it any easier?
