Just heard some real sad news, Protech USA is going out of business. I have bought several of his boards and was always treated honestly and in a professional manner. I guess that now we will have to deal with overseas crap built in sweatshops by eight year olds sanding away without masks or any personal health concerns. Not a good vision for our sport. RON

You can always support your local (relative term ) custom board builder. I have not bought a production board in years. I have so much respect for these people and their dedication to the sport. Besides you get a way better product for a very modest premium.

Had to wait a night to digest I guess. Really true? Where'd you hear? Certainly a shock for one who just bought my first and maybe one of his last boards. How can the best selection out of a world of choices, be from a company that can't make it. Enough to damage one's faith. D

I heard this straight from the horses mouth (John). I emailed him regarding the availability of the 260 ATC and he told me. He said that business was 'very bad'. He still has a couple of ATC's left and I think I will order one even so it would be like having a Edsall. I love my 270 ATC but it is more of a 6.5-7.0 board and gets a little big in the 5.0-6.0 range. For my weight the 260 would fill that void. Again, sad news indeed. RON
