Hello all,
I'm a long time windsurfer planning to start kiting the spring. I have trainer kite already, and I want to play with a little kite snowboarding and kite skateboarding during the winter. What I'm hoping is a that a small kite (maybe 5.0) will be good to use on land, but could also be my high wind kite once I return to the water. Is 5.0 too big for land-use? What do you think?
Thanks for any info you can give.

A 5.0 should be OK in reasonable winds for starting on land. Snowboards move better than all terrain boards in my opinion and can be used with smaller kites. Stay out of gusts. Millipede

I Think 5.0 good enough for high wind water kitesurfing and average snow/skate kite, but sea designed kites are definitely not to be used on ground, for evident weakness problems, while earth ones are not recommanded on sea for beginners because you cannot rely on them for relaunchability. I'd be careful in my choice consquently if I were you. Good ride 4U!
