Are there any on-the-water rentals in the Bay available? I believe they used to rent gear at 3rd Ave - does it still happen? Any others?

Please don't tell me to rack it... I'll have couple of days max and maybe will be able to sneak away on afternoons.

They still do on weekends - Helm Ski & Windsurf have a container with gear at 3:rd. Call them (650) 344-2711 for business hours.

Advanced Surf Design by Coyote Point might be an option on weekdays. (650) 348-8485 They have gear rigged ready to carry to the water.

ASD at Coyote Point is good but it's a long walk out there at low tide.

Should also mention that you can't sail 3rd Ave during low tide.
