I just tried my 6.6 on a skinny and liked it, but getting the camber inducers in place was quite difficult. No problems at all using a regular mast, but with the skinny, I had to unzip the access slits to get the inducers in place, then the access slits became almost impossible to zip back up. Must've taken me 20 minutes to rig the fushlurggener thing.

There's got to be a way....I just haven't found it yet. Maybe spreaing the inducers as I slip the mast in?

Hello again Peter, (I am ignoring any comments by Jim K regarding my non-affiliation with EZZY) When I rigged my - or should I say EZZY's - Infinities with a skinny I noticed that the cam seemed to 'over rotate' because the gap of the cams wrapped farther around the smaller diameter. You should take up the slack in the cam webbing to the point that the two blades make contact. see the link http://www.ezzy.com/mast/infinity_cam.htm Make certain that your cam batten adjustment is loosened and use the palm of your hand to push the camber batten towards the leech. With the proper outhaul the cam should pop onto the skinny with less effort than on a regular mast. I have found that rigging the sails on skinnies when the cams are at the regular setting causes a greater pocket in the sail when the battens are tightened up. Your comment about the access slits becoming difficult to zip make me think that you are not releasing the batten adjustments. This takes about 10 seconds to do both and makes rigging and de-rigging an easy task. If the zippers are open and the battens relaxed, I can rig any Infinity in about 2 to 3 minutes. Are you trying to rig the sail by setting the cams before you downhaul? Sleeve the mast over the cams (zippers open), outhaul to the recommended setting, pop-or set -the cams, downhaul, close zippers, add batten tension, sail. Send me an email at work if you still have problems.

Marc,

I'm diverting the stream here a little, since you appear to be the go-to guy for Ezzy Infinity stuff.

I can't get the wrinkles out of the batten on my lower camber batten (I don't always have the camber in, but the wrinkles remain). I can't jam the thing in tight enough to get rid of it. This is the batten right below the boom.

Is this a problem? The sail seems fine, but I want to get the best I can from it.

I can provide a picture if you want (next time I sail, maybe tomorrow).
