love overwise; the tophauls are slipping after about 1/2 hour of use. Since I've been sailing in Gusty Lake conditions a loose leach is essential for survival in the gusts. I'm not getting yanked too badly but when I come in to the beach the sail is now at the underpowered instead of normal or overpowered setting. The downhaul is definately not the problem. Any ideas how to correct this problem? Tieing a half hitch in the tophaul line,(something I did sucessfully with my old rushwinds), did not seem to solve the problem. Help.

I've always tied a half hitch right at the buckle such that it slips and tightens the knot even more.

If you do not need to adjust tophauls, and you are sure they are slipping, why not just sew a few stiches in the tophaul ribbon with needle and carpet/button thread. Easily removed later, costs pennies, would verify the cause of the problem.
