Ok, you may be right.

Humor me and let's do some calculations. Let's say we have a population of 50,000 people in a square mile. Kind of like a college campus. All of them have cell phones. Bell rings and class lets out. Let's be conservative and say that only 10,000 cell phones go off hook to make a quick call.

You have the technology to handle that? It's not a technology issue to handle that? You don't think you're going to need wires in the infrastructure to handle that?

These are serious questions, I don't actually think I know the answers. I'm not sure there's enough spectrum to handle it no matter how much hardware billions you throw at it. I honestly don't know. Do you?

Thanks,

I'm no expert but like to talk ... should I be running for the president?

Anyway I imagine microcells are the ultimate answer in terms of capacity. Area covered by each cell is small and thus congestion can be kept under control. One would need some serious land-line network to connect all cells and ensure sufficient capacity.

Of course price would be prohibitive... but we're not really concerned about that...
