Does ny one know any good windsurfing retailers in the fingerlakes region of

I know of one in Vermont (Phil Mann, Inland Sea, Burlington VT www.inlandsea.com) if that's close enough.

So what are the good sailing spots around the Finger Lakes?

There's only one I know of in the finger lakes area - Canandaigua Windsurfing. 716-394-8150. I assume they are still around, but am never down there so am not sure. It is on the north end of Canandaigua lake, in the 'city.' There's also Curtis Sport Connection in Buffalo, a web search will find them. Haven't bought from either - both are too far from Rochester to bother driving to. Have bought from Inland Sea though, Philip treated me well.

I stopped at Canandaigua Windsurfing last year on a trip north and it was a genial experience. A full-service shop with a good inventory, they are poised on the north tip of L. Canandaigua, I'm told the windiest part of the lake, certainly a more conducive topography than most of the Finger Lakes. They have a launch and one can demo equipment. Right off the major thoroughfares, it's worth a stop if you're in the area.
