Hi,

I've just decided to get some windsurfing gear. The problem is that I dont have anywhere to keep it as I dont have a garage. The only option seems to be a trailer. Could anyone suggest any good manufacturer of closed trailers which I could use for storing my windsurfing gear. Also links to used stuff on Long Island, NY would be great?

Thanx in advance,

Vivek,

Windsurfing Hamptons usually has about 30 used boards and several dozen used sails available. They're in Route 27 in Hampton Bays, reachable at 631-283-9463. Michael

Looks nice but costly. Many people want the trailer to be lightweight so that it is easy to move by hand and easy to tow. This is probably heave.

I don't know anything about used trailers. If it was me, I'd post in rec.windsurfing asking for trailer recommendations, then I'd use Google or Yahoo to search for a Long Island dealer of that trailer and call them up and ask. Michael

This spring I saw a number of northerners using lightweight snowmobile trailers for their WS gear. They seemed quite roomy, the entire top lifted up on hydraulic supports and they added racks inside for the boards and rig components. Certainly beats having to reach to the back. With the top raised, you could access almost the entire inside without having to get in.
