Of all the myriad of things on offer I appeal to you people of hardened user experience for guidance..
My place is Watamu, Kenya, on the equator Indian Ocean. Winds are light to moderate..mostly light I am competent on a wake boarder and paraglider. I learn quickly in all sports. My weight is 84kg. I don't want something that I will grow out of within 3 months but don't want a premium priced performance product that will be well dated by the time I achieve a sufficient standard to obtain the benefits.
Can anyone recommend a good package, kite, rigging, board etc for me. I will be in NY for a few days next week and any pointers to a suitable shop would also be hugely appreciated..

Inflatables are the best choice for wakeboards with a kite. Wakeboards are more sensitive to variations in power delivery from the kite. For this reason the more steady pull offered by inflatables works best. I would recommend either the Wipka or Naish in the largest size you can get or afford. The Naish 15.5 would work for you in 12-20 knots with a wakeboard. The Wipika 11.0 would be 15-25 knots. These ranges are approximate.
