Hi,

I'd like to try my old wave board, but it has a A-box type finbox and I can't find the tab and screw that attaches the fin to the box. Can I buy those in a hardware store or surfing store? If the surfing store would have it, what would they call it? The nearest windsurfing store is pretty far away.

They would call it the A-box (or Chinook or Fins Unlimited box) fin screw and slider plate. Everybody carries these, but remember that screws come in different diameters and both the hole in the fin tab and the slider plate must match up. You can always enlarge the hole in the fin tab.

Give me a call or email...I'm a couple of hours up the coast and could put a couple in the mail to you and you'd have them tomorrow... Forecast is for wind the next couple of days... http://www.surfingsports.com/marineSCAL.asp?
